A Dream Brought to Life

The Story Behind Thiele Vale

Both born and raised in Queensland, Natalie and Edward never imagined they'd one day be living on a South Australian farm nestled among rolling hills, rich history, and a quirky menagerie of beloved pets. In 2021, their journey led them to a hidden treasure: a neglected 1800s homestead in the Bremer Valley, featuring a weathered shearing shed on the verge of collapse.

With a shared dream of creating their own rustic wedding, they set to work. Over the next two years, they lovingly restored the shearing shed and transformed the once-overgrown gardens into a stunning country venue. In 2023, they celebrated their own wedding right here at Thiele Vale, with golden canola fields in bloom and the shed glowing with festoon lights.

The name Thiele Vale honours the original Thiele (pronounced “Tier-Lee”) family, who built the historic homestead, cottage, and shearing shed in the mid-1800s. Today, Natalie and Edward are proud to continue the legacy — not just as caretakers of the land, but as hosts for other couples seeking a relaxed, countryside celebration full of charm and authenticity.

Having recently said "I do" here themselves, they now open the gates of Thiele Vale to those dreaming of a warm, rustic, and intimate country wedding. With every booking, they share a little piece of their story — and the special place they now call home.
